ETF, Holders, SPDRs, PowerShares vs Select Sectors


The below references explain the advantages and weakness of these trading entities.

On a personal note, I use the Select Sectors CCP ranking to determine the best risk adjusted sector, then I compare that sector with the corresponding ETF, Holder, PowerShare, etc. and then invest in whatever has the best performance.

Quite often, sectors like Brokerage have no counterpart in Ishares etc. As a rule, Select Sectors perform very well, but there are exceptions. Currently, Select Utilities has greatly underperfomed both Ishares and Holders Utility funds.

Presently I'm building a table that lists the available Ishares, Holders and Power Shares sectors and compares their performance. The first draft is located at:
